It’s a family company, dedicated to the importation of agricultural equipment, tires, automotive parts and motorcycles in their electric and combustion versions, power plants, gas, gasoline and diesel.TERUEL & Co. was established in 1948 by its founder, the renowned entrepreneur Diego A. Teruel R. It’s currently managed by his successors, who still retain the original policies of its founder.

Our History

1948

Established in 1948 as an Electronic Service Center.

1955

In 1955, business relationship with Meito Shokai LTD from Japan for Sewing Machines for Home and electronic devices.

1970-1980

In 1970-1980, new products and lines imported from Checoslovaquia, Spain and Taiwan, covering at that moment the Haiti and Dominican markets: Rice Processing machinery, Water pumps, Diesel engines, Power tiller (two wheel tractors), Sprayers for agriculture.

1990-2008

In 1990-2008 new businesses developed covering motorcycles, Diesel generating Sets, etc., from China, Spain, Italy, for the market of Dominican Republic, Haiti and the Caribbean Islands.

2020

In 2020 we introduced the TERUEL Moto brand, TERUEL & Co. own brand, focused on the high-end, medium and high displacement segment, designed and developed to achieve maximum performance in the tropical island environment of the Dominican Republic.

2023

In 2023, we reached an agreement with the Italian Group Piaggio for the distribution of their prestigious and legendary brands in the Dominican Republic: Aprilia, Moto Guzzi, Vespa, and, of course, the renowned Piaggio brand.

1952

In 1952, import business with Grundig Germany.TV (B&W), and Sound components.

1960-1970

In 1960-1970, Furniture trading agents from USA, Middle East and Far East.

1990

In 1990, Exclusive agents for IMT Tractors from Yugoslavia (Power range: 20-90 H.P.) for the Dominican market.

2016

In 2016, we introduced the Zontes brand, focused on the high-end, low-displacement segment; we became exclusive distributors of Guangdong Tayo Motorcycle Technology Co.,Ltd. for the Dominican Republic.

2022

In 2022, the KOVE Moto brand underwent a global expansion, leading to the rebranding of our models TERUEL Tekken 500T, TERUEL Tekken 400T, TERUEL Scrambler 500F, and Scrambler 400F to be named as Kove 500T, Kove 400T, Kove 500F, and KOVE 400F respectively. Additionally, we introduced the Kove 321 RR models.
